Bring your family and friends to enjoy a day of horse racing in Fauquier County’s beautiful countryside!

Just like at your favorite sports game, create your own tailgate to enjoy throughout the day or grab a bite at our on-site food truck. Don’t forget to snag a piece of Warrenton Hunt merchandise to commemorate the day. Kids can enjoy the complimentary Kids Zone including coloring, face painting, and hobby horse racecourse!

Gates open at 10:30 a.m. – Post Time (First Race) at 12 noon
Dogs are not permitted at the races

How to Attend

One parking pass is good for a car full of people (and fun)!

Choose from one of our three premier tailgate spots:

NEW Finish Line Parking tailgate where you’ll be so close to the action you’ll be able to feel the wind as horses and jockeys race towards the finish.
Hilltop “Under the Pines” tailgate location offering a great view of the front and backside of the racecourse.
Paddock Parking tailgate location giving you and your friends a front row seat to all the action in the race paddock where horses and jockeys prep to go out on the racecourse.

The Upper and Lower Hill tailgate locations are always a popular option between Paddock Parking and Hilltop.

Purchase a General Parking pass!
Tailgate spots are reserved on a first come, first serve basis and are available the day of the races via cash and CC only.

Tailgate Compeition

For those with Finish Line, Paddock, Hilltop, Upper, and Lower Hill passes, we’d love for you to compete in our 3rd Annual Tailgate Competition with a $20 donation to Little Fork Volunteer Fire and Rescue! Little Fork Volunteer Fire and Rescue is an all-volunteer group serving the Commonwealth of Virginia that is trained and equipped to rescue horses & cows. We couldn’t execute our event without them!

For those that remember the fantastic Casanova Hunt Tailgate Competition, Jim Gehris has volunteered to continue that wonderful tradition with the Warrenton Hunt! He and his team of judges will walk the grounds to collect your donation (cash or check), provide a receipt, and judge the tailgates. The winners will be announced just before the Side Saddle Competition. We hope you join us in supporting this great organization!

Hilltop "Under the Pines" tailgate: Offers a great view of the front and backside of the racecourse.
Paddock Parking tailgate (*NEW*): Gives you and your friends a front row seat to all the action in the race paddock where horses and jockeys prep to go out on the racecourse.
Upper Hill tailgate: Spots in rows 200-300 on the upper hillside overlooking the race finish line.
Lower Hill tailgate: Spots in rows 400-500 on the lower hillside.
General Parking Pass (available at the gate on the day, via cash or CC for $20): Gives you admission to the races and is a great option if you want to check out what the races have to offer and/or meeting up with your friends at their tailgate!
